Remember the pizza crusts you saw on my grocery list on Monday? Well last night I put them to
good amazing use! I’ve never cooked pizza on the grill before, and I’ve really been wanting to try it for awhile now. Yesterday was the day, my friends, and it was glorious.
I bought two premade honey whole wheat pizza crusts at the grocery store on Monday and was quite excited to get them on the grill yesterday evening for dinner. I decided to make his and her pizzas considering I had two crusts. Not to mention Cody isn’t the biggest fan of my basil, spinach, and tomato toppings choice. He likes his meat, black olives, and mushrooms!
I topped each of our pizzas with some Ragu pizza sauce (impressive, eh?), and their appropriate toppings. Cody’s pizza consisted of pepperoni, sliced mushrooms, and black olives. My pizza consisted of basil, sliced tomatoes, and spinach.
Next I topped them with a butt load of mozzarella cheese. Mmmm.
Last but not least, I stuck ’em on the grill. I grilled them on LOW for about 3-5 minutes. Try to keep the lid closed as much as possible to melt the cheese, but be careful not to burn the bottom of the crust! (Poor photo quality – my bad.)
I carefully took them off the grill after a few minutes and brought them inside. Cody sliced the pizzas while I made spinach side salads for each of us. We sat down and devoured. The cheese was nice and melty, the crust was perfectly crusty, and it had a hint of grill-ish flavor. Simply delish.
I’m actually looking forward to leftovers from this meal! (I am not usually a fan of leftovers.)
